CHRIS HERMANN, RLA/ASLA
Mr. Hermann received his Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Pennsylvania State University in 1980. In 1983 he became a licensed landscape architect with the States of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He has been licensed with the State of California since 1985. In 1983 he started the landscape architecture department for CUH2A, one of the nation’s largest multi-disciplinary architecture and engineering firms. He gained valuable experience working hand-in-hand with the civil engineering and architectural departments, solving a variety of design challenges. Notable projects during this time include:
- Nabisco Brands Technology Center
- M and M Mars Corporate Headquarters
Before moving to the Coachella Valley in 1995, he was a principal at RHA Landscape Architects-Planners, Inc. in Riverside, a firm he had been with for nearly ten years. At RHA, Chris was not only involved in residential tract and master-planned communities, but involved in public sector work as well. Notable projects during this time include:

- Moreno Valley Auto Mall – Moreno Valley, CA – Moreno Valley Redevelopment Agency
- Barton Road Renovation – City of Grand Terrace, CA
Additionally, Chris served on the architectural design review committee for the City of Moreno Valley from 1987 to 1993, assisting in the growth and development of that community; he also served as a member of the Moreno Valley Economic Development Commission. Chris was also involved in the Riverside chapter of the Building Industry Association, holding various offices.
Chris is also involved in the desert community. He was named president of the Desert Chapter of the Sales and Marketing Council in 1999, and has held various positions with the local BIA chapter and the Desert Family YMCA. He is currently a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and is a Registered Resort Professional the American Resort Development Association.
